Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions. My PC keeps trying to install

"GDRDU: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4015583)"

But it keeps failing, it gets to 100% configured, then when it reboots in what appears to be safe mode or some alternative low resolution mode, it gets to about 30% and either totally locks up or goes to a blue screen reporting a "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR".

A bit of googling suggests that this is a hardware error, but my system has been stable since the X99 platform release and has never bluescreened before.

Even during stress testing my H100i keeps the 5820k below 60c. So I'm finding it pretty hard to believe that its a hardware fault.

Cheers

That error is pretty hard to ignore regardless of any previous stress testing you have done. Give the CPU more voltage or try again at stock.

Fair enough, I'm going to delete the cached update data and re-download, if that fails I'll bump the voltage up a bit and if that still fails I might have to have a go at stock. I could always try a BIOS update seeing as I haven't updated for at least a year.

Edit: I cleared the temporary windows install files and now whenever I check for updates it says I am up to date.
