Windows 10 - update help!

So I have tried updating Windows about 8 times now it always gets to 32% and no further, I've done clean install before, recovered back to previous windows before updates and same gets to 32% and goes no further I left PC on entire evening but still no further.

I've done the whole turn off anti virus hell I even uninstalled it completely and used windows defender, doing it on a wired connection.

Can any one suggest anything?? At this point I may aswell end just using out of date os

A quick Google indicates this could be a driver issue. Is it stuck 32% of the entire download, and at 6% of the "Installing drivers and features" section?

If so, have a quick Google for "Windows 10 download stuck at 32% and there are a stack of guides that basically talk you through unplugging/uninstalling all unnecessary hardware before starting it again. There are also a few log files that might help you figure out exactly what is going wrong.

It's 32% at the point where it says installing new features may take awhile bit.

Tried updating using the media creation tool website instead of just Windows update?

I've always had success using that method.

Don't hav any USB pens atm lent them out atm, I just don't know what could be causing it only driver that I know isn't up to date is for my 1070 everything else is up to date

Ah I see I assumed was for making installs of is if no disc option available, I'll try that later tonight then

If your system is having issues, I'd get yourself prepared for a full reinstall or get your system backup recovery ready.

Never had an issue with it, but you can't be too careful

Really hope I don't have to this will be 3rd reinstall all ready if that happens due to ***** update system

Post how you resolved this please? I'm having the same issue, getting stuck on 26%, wouldnt mind so much except for the ****ing annoying popup that locks up my steam link constantly...

Thanks for this suggestion - left it running over night and it appears to have worked - was greeted with a "Welcome to the Fall Creator's Update" message this morning

Now to figure out how to undo everything it has broken (namely putting the control panel back on the start menu >_<)
