WIndows 10 upgrade fail (partition error) ???

Just tried upgrading from the microsoft download page yet get the following error...

"This PC can't run windows 10 - We couldn't update the system reserved partition"

Around 96gb free on the m2 ssd, what's the score here ?

Legacy or UEFI ?. Good question, installed 7 fresh from a disk years ago.

Partitions ?. Next question !, I used Macrium Reflect to copy this drive to a new one so wondering if that did something (now uninstalled). Disk management shows two volumes:
'C:' simple, basic, NTFS (boot, page file, crash dump, primary partition) 476Gb
'Data', simple, basic, NTFS, (system, active, primary partition) 100Mb

You should see 3 partitions in there and if UEFI you can see a forth partition if you use DiskPart or a 3rd party app.

Ok, so what's the cure ?. Surprised windows update can't cure this simple issue or give a more detailed error message.... Windows 7 is running fine !!

Visit tenforums and see if there is a fix.

Either in the Tutorials or Forum, I bet its ca common issue as I have deleted them in past and regretted later or even next restart which failed.

100Mb partition resided to 300Mb with free 'minitool partition wizard'. Upgrade worked fine.
