Windows 10 won't boot

I have an SSD as a primary and RAID 10 array for data.

I'm trying to remove the latter's drives to sell them off now that I have a QNAP NAS, but if I remove more than 2, windows won't boot. It says inaccessible boot device.

Windows 10 is installed on the SSD so what's on the RAID array? And how to I move it across.

You can't.

The only other thing is that the OS IS on the SSD but the MBR has somehow found itself on the RAID array.

In windows, load up disk manager and post up a screen capture.

I can't?

Disk Manager looks as I'd expect it...

What is the physical size of the SSD? I think you are going to have to reinstall Windows to the SSD once you have removed the RAID.

What software are you using to setup/configure the RAID?

Page file shouldn't matter, it would just re-create it.

Everything looks in order there, how are you using your RAID? I ask because I cannot see any RAID config there.

All I see is your primary SSD with windows on it, then circa 3GB HDD with 2 partitions on it, one for media and one for data. Are you running RAID 1? (Mirroring)

For the sake of something easy to test, have you actually tried moving the Page File back to C?

Otherwise once you've removed the drives you don't want try and use the repair install option from a recovery disc.

Well, apologies. You were all right. It was the flipping page file.

Windows 10 seems to crash if it doesn't exist on a connected drive. Odd or what!

Thank you all for your help.
