For those of us who use Windows Subsystem for Linux, the good news is that Microsoft will be shipping a full custom Linux Kernel based on the latest stable release of 4.19 (and updated with each iteration of the stable release)
I know some of us need a mixed dev environment for various reasons and having a native Kernel will be very handy indeed.

What with Microsoft's new Terminal and the native SSH client they do seem to be trying to make things simpler for mixed environments.
