Found out Raptr (bundled with AMD CCC) was keeping my GPUs (7990 + 7950) awake, making heat keeping my case fans running.

When I found out it was Raptr I uninstalled. Had some driver problems so have installed it again I think.

Upgraded to Windows 10 and installed the 10 CCC drivers, but this time un checked Raptr. I cant tell if it is still running (nothing in task manager) or if Windows 10 is keeping my GPUs from sleeping.

Anyone else having similar? C&Q isn't stepping down my CPU clock speeds with 10 (3ghz ish, not 1.6 as in 8.1) so not sure if they are related?

Going to try CrapCleaner now.

Update:
Like when I was 8.1 and had Raptr installed. Disabling then re enabling Crossfire gets them to behave and turn off unused cards. Not practical.
msconfig still asks to use Task manager, and Task Scheduler hasn't got any AMD software I could delay (thinking It could help?).

Oh and thanks for your replies.

you posted this at 2:07am and expected replies?

most people would be sleeping!

haven't had any issues with my PC down clocking my cpu when its not needed. have you done a clean install of W10 since upgrading and have you downloaded the latest drivers?

Also haven't really told us what CPU you're using.

Are the power saving states enabled in BIOS? Is the Windows power profile set to balanced?

Its cool, would seem it is just task manager not reporting right. Hwinfo is correct.
On a 8350. Could see a few other posts on the Windows10 thread with similar.
Not expecting replies, preparing :)

GPUs are still on all the time. Unless I disable/enable crossfire.
