Windows 11 24H2 - is it safe yet?

There was another video showing how to stay on 23H2, video below, taken from another Windows 11 thread

Decided to live with it for now. I think disabling MPO had fixed the gsync issue (I've given up trying to figure why gsync being enabled in full screen mode could remotely effect windowed mode apps), new DAC seems to be behaving (mostly) and Nvidia auto HDR seems to work again.

Some software companies are reporting 11-20% of their users who've updated to 24H2 having issues like webcam functionality being impacted, this is not just maybe 1000 people.

Audio issues have been quite widespread with the update, the update (and update process) seems to mess with the Windows audio sub-system in several ways resulting from anything from like I had where audio settings were randomly reset after the update through to people getting BSODs unless they remove soundcards or unplug USB audio devices.

Though not exactly a MS issue some of the File Explorer bugs after the update are due to people using 3rd party patched/modified File Explorer software but that itself is a huge issue as inadequate and in some cases completely clueless development leads people to having to resort to stuff like that.

That is probably because across industries like that a good percentage of it will be standardised system builds i.e. Dell where issues are more likely to have been discovered in previews, etc.
Nope, all custom builds or images. Although admittedly that's a good point, clean builds as opposed to in place upgrades.

I did both
Clean install and in place upgrade
Still had same issues
The sound issue i got around by installing apoequaliser
But still couldn't launch some old games
Using update or clean install
Not catastrophic issues though everything else
Seemed functional

I have multiple windows on separate drives
Just for this sort of thing
Just in case something doesn't work

Maybe it'll settle down but 24H2 seems to be a lot more busy in the background, especially if I walk away from my PC for a bit I'll periodically hear the fans ramping up much more and for longer than before the update (not malware) - which must be a considerable net negative for the environment with the additional energy use compared to for example Windows 7 which had minimal and efficient background activity.

I've found the update has reset several of my registry tweaks, for no good reason really - almost like they've done it on purpose just to be obnoxious, also resets stuff like reimplementing the Image Preview option in File Explorer though that is slightly more understandable given they've updated FE but still annoying.

More annoyingly it has removed some of the shell extensions I setup myself for easy backup purposes which again there doesn't seem to be any reason for doing, though those are so esoteric they wouldn't specifically be a target to reset/remove and probably collateral to larger changes.

And I'm yet to see a single positive from actually updating... I'm seeing more and more reason to just take the nuclear option of blocking Windows Update wholesale but isn't a step I like to take as I like to stay on top of critical security updates, etc.
