- I have noticed that with fast start up disabled after loading the laptop goes to a black screen for around 5 seconds or so. Is that normal? Please see video. Thanks! I don’t recall it doing that before and it doesn’t do that with fast start up enabled. This is a Legion 5i pro which is only six months old.

I'd say that's probably fine. If you're not seeing any performance issues once Windows has loaded, and you've disabled fast boot, i'm not sure what you're getting at?
It didn’t use to do that until an update I don’t think, so I was just worried if there was something wrong with it.

Fast startup puts windows into a hibernation state which means drivers etc are already loaded and setup and then saved in this state, into the hibernation file. I would assume the delay you are seeing is the driver for the GPU starting up to give you full capability of the device. The delay is between the normal graphics mode and the Areo interface while the gpu driver loads and as does the interface.

Thanks for explaining, that sounds normal?
