Hi wondered if anyone can give guidance. I have just ordered my first hardware bundle to build my first ever PC build but have been looking at downloading Windows 11 ready for installation. I was aware the USB disk installation is the best but have found all the options on Microsoft confusing. I have a macbook air currently and am finding it confusing if its possible to create a Windows 11 boot USB drive ready but using a macbook. Is this possible?

Tools such as Rufus and the windows media creator is what we use in the windows world.

There maybe alternatives to Rufus but there may be mac versions as well. Your have to have a look.

This is with boot from cold. All windows drivers, chipset drivers installed etc. AVast is installed but I've set "disable permently" then rebooted, just to try and minimise services. I think they're all still loaded though, so should still be less than 89 without any AV installed, as I can still see six avast services running in the background

A debloated custom ISO came with Avast bloatware !!!

A custom ISO is a risk, who knows what else has been included.

For drivers, did you run the executables to install or extract and add through Device Manager?

The next time you install Windows, on the same computer, export the drivers and import in to the Windows image (install.wim). No drivers to install post-installation and in my experience Windows feels a lot smoother. Happy to share the steps if needed.

I have several computers, sure if this was a company with 100 computers all the same, would make sense to create my own image, with drivers/software etc for say 100x dell 1625 ryzen laptops, but I could be using windows 11 on two different computers.
