Windows 11 different background on multiple monitors

I have 2x monitors on windows 11, 27" primary and 20" secondary in portrait.

it looks like windows 11 there is no way to have different wallpapers on different screens. Only some pointless virtual desktop feature thats of no use to me

Ive now got a wallpaper on the 2nd monitor thats cropped and looks stupid

Works for me on preview windows 11 though
Not tested on release version

Nope doesnt work. Set for monitors has been replaced by set for desktops

nope same thing all roads lead to rome. instead of set for monitor, its says set for Desktop 1 though 10

ive just checked my other PC with 2 screens and that says set for monitor! same build of windows... maybe there a way to turn off desktops

solved , you can delete the virtual desktops

To Remove the Active Virtual Desktop with a Keyboard Shortcut,

Switch to the virtual desktop you want to remove.
Press Win + Ctrl + F4 .
The current virtual desktop will be removed.

and the after the final ones deleted, its says set to monitor ...
