Having an issue getting this to complete. It’s getting stuck no matter what I’ve tried. Tried SFC and DISM, deleting software distribution etc. Tried all suggestions online. Any ideas?

It may not be getting stuck it may just be taking a long time. Depends how much crap you have.

After more research I’ve figured it’s not getting stuck it’s just a bug that has been around since Windows 10. Everything is getting cleaned as normal apart from Microsoft defender Antivirus and thumbnails. They are actually getting emptied but still showing a number, that’s the bug apparently.
