I have a LG 4k moniter & displayport 1.4 plugged in, a youtube video said lower HrZ, but really my monitor should be good enough to do it at 144 Hrz. LG Ultragear 32GR93U.

It's an 8 bit +frc panel(frame rate control)
not a true 10 bit panel
So may need to lower to 120hz
If want the 8 bit +frc enabled
Not sure you will visibly see much difference
From 8 bit
Though not messed around with that stuff in ages

Wow think it would be better, oddly Windows has no 120 Hrz option. Ya, should have got the GQ950 b when it was a good price here.

Unless you're a hard core amateur or professional photographer
Or videographer
10 bit is probably unnecessary
Especially video since YouTube, Facebook etc
Compress videos

Pretty sure one of my 27 monitors is 10 bit
I couldn't see the difference
Though that may be down to being old
And having #### eyesight

So personally I don't think you're missing much
10 bit wouldn't be a reason I would
Upgrade my monitor for
Mini led or oled would be a much more
Compelling reason for me

You could ask in the monitor section
Probably get more opinions
Than in this section

Just changed my 2 x 27
Got a 34 oled
At least you get a 3 year burn in warranty
By which time
I am hoping micro led monitors will be
The normal at a decent price

One of my 27 is mini led
Which isn't a terrible choice over oled
Brighter,no burn in ,usually cheaper
Not had them on side by side
But the oled is a bit better
But not mind blowingly so to my eyes anyway
Really only changed as no longer required 2 x monitors
And they were taking up too much desk space

I have a pretty old Acer 27" 4K monitor and its probably not a genuine true 10bit panel, but when I switch from 8bit to 10bit I can see a slight difference overall in colours but is it worth it probably not. I have to settle for 10bit, 4K, 60hertz though due to mini pc specs.

My CX however the 10bit vs 8bit is much more, but this is with hdr which gives much more pop overall.

I would prefer 8bit and say 120hertz though due to eye health either way its time at one point I get an up to date monitor and its gotta have 10bit HDR and 4K 120hertz, shame they are so expensive for now.
