Hello,
I currently have a Dell OptiPlex 3020 Desktop,
Intel Core i5-4590 @ 3.3GHz
8GB RAM
120GB SSD OS
500GB HDD Data
Windows 10 x64.
It works fine for what I require however I am aware of Windows 10 end of life on October 14, 2025.
I don't need to replace it but it looks like I will be forced to be able to run Windows 11.
It only gets used for a few hours a week.
Looking at Windows 11 requirements, I am not eligible for an upgrade and I require TPM 2.0 or later and Intel 8th gen or later.
What are my best options here?
My only requirements are I need to run dual screens and I also like having separate disks for OS and data, so a tiny form factor would not suit.
I am years out of the hardware loop!

- Buy Windows 11 Home (approx. £120) and install it, run it anyway on old hardware.
- Is it possible to upgrade board / CPU on the Dell, probably more trouble that it's worth.
- Buy a new PC.
- Buy a "refurbished" PC that has Windows 11 compatible hardware.
