Windows 11: sudden internet problems

Hi all,

Seemingly out of nowhere I’ve started having some internet issues - hoping you may be able to help!

Browsing has been very slow - but intermittently full speed. I’ve tried resetting my hub and changing dns settings however it’s still intermittent.

When browsing does work at full speed, trying to download something (eg connecting to steam or YouTube) grinds everything to a complete halt.

Is this only happening with this PC? What about other devices such as phones?

Full system specs? Which internet provider are you with and how is the PC connected to the router?

Yes, only happening with the Windows PC. All other devices (TV, laptop, phones) all running absolutely fine.

It's BT broadband and connected via wi fi (through a Google Home network).

List your system specs as well, it could be a bad wifi driver.

I'm guessing the PC is too far to test the wifi on the BT hub directly instead of the Google Home mesh network?
