Due to purchase/upgrade a couple of PCs later this year.
Will OCs PC sales/specs indicate 'Windows 11 Compatible' in due course?
Thank you.

Thank you both, it seems that the Windows 'Health Check' is already creating a few ruffled feathers.
My two 5 year old gamers are 'not compatible'??
I'm not in a hurry so I'll wait and see!

I read yesterday that there are many people being told they're not compatible with modern systems but that the issue is with something called TPM. Apparently this is something you can turn on or off I'm the bios and many times it comes off as default, so ask them to try that!

MS have withdrawn the check because its not accurate

I don't get the rumblings and concerns over Windows 11. 10 has 4 years left and a lot can change in that time.
I generally try to avoid the latest software (ie in my CAD programs) and hold back a year or two so I have all the service packs and patches. Same principle applies here - I'll hold off as long as I can before upgrading. Hopefully by then it will be quite refined.

Pretty much hold on upgrading until the last day possible before they stop offering it as a free upgrade to windows 10 key holders!

Lots of people fail the compatibility check due to no TPM. You can buy TPM chips if you have a header for it in your motherboard, but the scalpers are trying their hand.

Some CPUs allow a soft way of providing TPM functionality but I'm not sure just how compatible that is. Laptops from 2018 onwards likely already have compatible TPM chips

Search in the 'Advanced' section in your BIOS for: fTPM for AMD or Intel is PTT. Nobody needs a TPM module if it's a relatively recent motherboard/cpu. So no need to get scalped off sh1tnuts trying to sell a £7 item for £70.
