hi there

am trying to help out my sister in law

sent her down a illuminated belkin keyboard and an old tragus illuminated
mouse both usb. She is running windows 2000 proffesional.

The keyboard and mouse from my knowledge was suppost to work on all operating systems 98se/2000/me/xp/vista. I had them running on vista and xp before i sent them down to her.

She plugged them both in and it come up asking for drivers, the only disk that came with the keyboard was for windows 98se which i no longer have. Windows 2000 installed something and asked her to reboot but dont know what it was as she never said.

So she unplugged the keyboard and mouse and then shut down pc and then plugged back in the old ps2 and usb mouse that she has and the problem is

mouse lights up and wll not move in windows, keyboard blinks and then wont do nothing after that. Windows says found new hardware and is asking to click next on the wizzard which she can not do as she has no working input devices.

She has tried rebooting the pc several times and reconnecting the mouse and keyboard.

Does any one have any ideas what the problem may be and how to resolve this. I will post the spec of her pc in the next post as well as she is wanting to move to xp but i don't know if it will be possible!

any help appreciated

Thanks
