Windows 2000 display problems

Last night, I was over at my uncles place. After years of torture with Windows ME, I upgraded him to Windows 2000 Pro with SP4.

He has an integrated graphics card Something Pro S3 iirc.

Now one problem was the display driver, it wouldn't display above 480 x 640 as you can see pictured:

Neither would it display more than 16 bit. Run wouldn't run msconfig either.

I have no idea what the mobo is, but it's a pretty old pc (900mhz, 128mb ram)

Ran a lot of windows 2000 updates too.

Would appreciate any help at all.
 
You have no msconfig on Win2000, though it will run if you grab the exe from another machine.

You need to find out the mobo model so drivers can be found. It's using basic VGA drivers at the moment, so you aren't going anywhere.
 
What ever reference or model numbers you find, put them into Google and it sould return something of use to you.

All you then need to do is go to the manufactures website and download the drivers.
