Windows 2003 + Mass Storage Device

Got a 7 port powered USB 2.0 hub so everyone can plug in their flash pens at night for backups.

All well and good but Windows 2003 wont pick up the devices...

Under device manager, I can see the drives as Mass Storage Device, but it has a yellow icon next to it saying "the device can not start".

Also it cant seem to install drivers for the devices... even if they are plugged stright into the motherboards ports.

does it work ok on other machines? maybe the cable is dodgy (usb1 cable?) or the device is dodgy

Hi mate,

yeah the drives work fine on other machines. Tried plugging the devicein the motherboads USB ports but still Windows cant find drivers :confused:

are these front USB ports by any chance?

try a different usb port, possibly a dodgy one..

also, try these files..

open the txt file to see which files go where

if that doesn't work, then not sure what to suggest..
(these are my xp drivers btw)
