Windows 2003 server on 700mhz

Im looking into buying a very cheap quad xeon p3 700 server with 4 gig of ram.. (just for the hell of it, storage etc)

Whats the best os to run on it? win 2003 server ok with low end specs like these..? does it support 4 cpu's?

I would also like to run a GT legends dedicated server on it too but cannot find the min specs for the server, anyone?

Any thoughts welcomed on the server and software needed for it..

Sorry for the noobishness but i dont do servers normaly...

2K3 will run fine on that, it supports upto 8, and will run on cpus from 133mhz up. The GT Legends DS should run fine as well.

We (at the company i work for) are running a test 2003 server on an old Dell Poweredge 2300. It's a P3 450Mhz machine with about 512MB ram, it certainly ain't the fastest at booting from cold but once it's up and runnnig it runs fine

lol i have 2 servers one with an intel 800mhz i think and the other with xp 2400 both running 2003 server one with exchange server the other with apache rras.
