If I change the listening port for Terminal Server, how should I modify the RD Client on Windows XP to connect to that new port?

It is just a case of putting IP:Port?

Background:

Im going away for the weekend and need to be able to connect to the server from a Windows XP machine. Terminal Server is installed to only allow administration as I will be the only one connecting.

Always wanted to set up a VPN due to much better security but never really got around to it.

Any ideas on how to do it? I went through the wizard but it wants to accept the connections on another NIC and not the one thats connecting it to the router.

Says I must select a interface on that screen

What I'm doing:

-Remote Access (dial-up or VPN) - from the list
-Next
-VPN Check box
-Next
-Select the NIC that connects this server to the internet
-Next

Now where its asking for which adapter does the server accept VPN connections from. If I select nothing, returns a error saying one adapter must be selected.

BUT the NIC used to connect the server to the router is not listed here but was listed on the previous screen
