Windows 2003 User profiles

Hi

Small issue that the Administrator account on a server has somehow got currupted. So when I log in the user is missing customisations and im unable to customise them once logged in. It has what I would call an XP control panel at the moment which I cant change. Many other changes I do it just reverts back when you close the window.

I have created another user with Admin rights and that works fine.

Is their away I can force the Administrator account to reset the user profiles?

Delete the profile from profiles within system properties. Have you been playing with mandatory profiles?

Theres 2 profiles there 1 is labeled backup and 1 other local. The backup I can delete but the local I cant.

This box is a basic Install which runs CiscoWorks so has no AD or DC.

Reboot the server to make sure the profiles are free, then log back in as the other administrator.
Go into documents and settings and rename the administrator folder to administrator.old or whatever you want.
Log back in as administrator and the profile will be recreated from the default profile.
