Windows 2012 R2 AD Query

Just wondering if this is normal behaviour, when I add a computer to the AD using the Network ID wizard, the machine joins the domain but I then don't have local administrative rights. I have to go in to control userpasswords2 and add the domain account.

Shouldn't this happen automatically? It did on SBS2011...

yes. when you add a machine to AD via the wizard on the client it should add the domain admins to the local admin group

But I think using the connect computer wizard in an sbs domain you have the option to add the domain user to the local admins group, as stated this does not happen using th network id wizard on a standard ad.

So I need to make a new GPO to emulate this behaviour on the full server vs sbs?
