Hi everyone,

I'm running a q6600 processor with 4gb memory and 4850 graphics card.
Any reason why I shouldn't use the 64bit version of windows 7?
Possibly my terratec 24/96 soundcard might give me some driver compatibility issues.

Is there anything unlikely to work?
Are most games okay with 64 bit?

Also - what happens if I do have problems, can I change my mind and use the 32 bit instead?

All games are ok with 64bit, sell the Terratec and get a Xonar D2/D2x and then laugh at the fact that people still use 32bit on systems perfectly capable of 64bit :)

Well I need a decent ASIO capable soundcard & most of them are USB interfaces now and not PCI.

I'm sure there's something adequate tho.

Righto. Just need to check how compatible cubase 5 is with win 7.

I have the same issue and have bitten the bullet and upgraded to Win7 64. Terratec DMX does not work well with Vista and therefore I presume Win7 x64.

USB soundcards, from what I have read, can offer very low latency now anyway. It may be time for an upgrade.

I have a USB guitar interface (Rig Kontrol II) and that has very low latency and is ASIO compliant.

Major problems with Call of Duty World at War Game...
Works fine with Vista 64, but SP crashes  the MP seems to work ok with Windows 7 64bit, I've tried all the updates[Graphics,Sound...] to get the SP to work, but COD 4 works ok...
Most other 3D Games seems to work fine..UT3, even old Quake3..
