So I've just installed a new mobo which required a fresh install of Windows. I can get a copy through work but foolishly I forgot to make sure it was the 64 bit version. So I installed windows and then realised it was 32 bit. I've already used the activation code for this. I've asked for the 64 bit version from work but they are taking ages to sort it out! Can I download a trial version of 64 bit and activate it with the same code or will it require the 64 bit code?

Cheers

The windows version I have currently is an enterprise 32 bit version. I hadn't heard of enterprise until I installed this to be honest! If I have an enterprise code would it work then?

I got it through work. Its windows 7 mate but I found that on my digital life. Although the only one not listed is enterprise! I'll give it a go anyway!

I've still got the product key for the windows version I had before. I'm sure that was either home premium or professional. So I'll try that and see what happens!
