im planning to do a couple of upgrades to the PCs in my dads office.. they are both running windows 7 32bit.. The Windows DVDs only contain the 32bit versions , does the license allow me to install a 64 bit version with the same Key or do i have to buy 2 more copies of windows. ( i have a windows 7 64bit DVD from one of my copies)

ok i will give it a go.. i keep reading 2 differnt answers when i google it.. some say the KEY is not architecture specific, others say you can only do it on the full version of windows and not an OEM

ok this is good news.. im changing both systems to SDD so can install everything up and running an leave the old HDD intact (unplugged).. then once is fully prepared and working will activate windows

this may come handy for me with windows 10 round the corner.

got a windows 7 32 bit retail copy not being used on anything. may use this to upgrade to W10 64 bit if its possible
