windows 7 64 bit powerdvd problem

ok ive installed my new copy of 7 64bit

relaoded my powerdvd 7.3 ultra and stuck any blray disc in .. asks to do an update

downlaod teh update ..said update wipes teh orignal program and starts laodign a new one .. it then fails big style and i dont have power dvd no more .... gettign anoyed now as ive doen it 4 times

anyone help on this ?

says i should update my software ... then suggest i get powerdvd 9 .... lol .. must be a fix for 7.3 thats just plain nuts

ive submitted a question on it .. see what they come up with ... i need my blu ray player working .. not happy atm
 
hmm .. although i just realised ive got a copy of it with my bly ray player .. wonder if that would work ?? hmm onkly use 2 channels of sound ... but would that mean i lose my hd dvd playback ability
 
when powerDVD updates, it basically removes most of the program and re-installs using the updated files, thats why it looks like powerDVD has been removed when the update fails.

The fact the update is also failing is a W7 bug from what I've seen. I have recently had this issue too, where I'll install pDVD 7.3, download the update it wants me to get, start to update then I get an error about 1033.mst. There was a possible fix for it but it doesn't work for me:
