Windows 7 64 upgrade version - student

Hi I bought this through the student offer but I'm on xp 32.

Does anyone have a guide, that actually works, which shows me how I'd go about using this download to install a fresh version of Win7? The last guide someone gave me didn't work, wasted 3 dvd's on it. None of the recorded dvd's we're bootable despite me enabling the boot option.

If it doesn't work for you with the downloaded version then I'd suggest you didn't do it correctly.

sorry I'm tired and thinking about attempting this again makes me 5 times more tired

Just d/l the ISO version from Digital River, burn the ISO straight to DVD and it'll boot.

hey I know what I should do, I should input 'windows 7 iso' into the search bar on digital river:

no no I know, the best option would be to contact Digital River and get a reply 7 days later saying:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting the Windows 7 Offer online store.

We apologize for the inconvenience; unfortunately, we are unable to
assist you with technical support issues such as download problem at the
Windows 7 Offer online store. Please contact Microsoft for assistance
with the product you have purchased.

okok I'll contact Microsoft. Hey mr person who doesn't understand English and who I waited an hour to speak to, can you help?? 30 mins later.....
Nope you don't have a clue, goodbye.

I've downloaded that file 5 times now, it doesn't work full stop.
It keeps stopping then restarting, then it decides to start all over again. I think it would take 3 years til it eventually downloads 3gb.
Funny since it's the same download tool I've used to succesfully download the non iso version...

Used it the other day, d/l 1st time all 3Gb no problem.

First of all it says space need on hard drive: 0.0mb
Second, the download screen looks like this (check the ???k):

Lastly, it doesn't work, like I said above.

Just keeps pausing itself then restarting, repeat x 10+ times. Then for good measure it restarts the download all over again, disregarding and writing over the data already downloaded !!!!!!!!!

Seriously just give it a try.... just had exactly the same happen to my laptop. Is there anywhere else I can get this file????
