i just installed windows 7 64 bit onto my new pc and it jus is not compatible with the softwares i am trying to install. AutoCAD for example will not install. Both 2009 and 2010 versions. Can anyone help me..any advise to which i can overcome this problem or is it best for me to just downgrade to windows vista???

Also i have my pc working to far away from the router for my internet connection so i decided to get a usb adaptor. The belkin usb adaptor that i have got does not allow the adaptor to work and am guessing its cause of windows 7 operating system. Can any1 plz advise me to a usb adaptor that is compatible with windows 7???

well, as for the Belkin adapter, I am sure there are 64bit versions of the drivers. Not sure of Autocad though, I have heard of that type of software not being supported by 64 bit. :(

Is the AutoCAD the 64-bit version or the 32-bit version you have? Unlike a lot of software, are both mutually exclusive and will only install on the specific version.

FYI Im running 2010 64-bit and its rapido

and btw is it definet that autoCAD 2009 cannot work on windows 7 64bit???

AutoCAD 2008, 2009 and 2010 will all work on your windows 7 64-bit machine *ONLY* if the AutoCAD version you have *IS* the 64-bit version.

I will get back to you on the 2010 version I have, If i can find it.
