Good morning OcUK :)

I just wanted to ask if it will be worth installing the 64bit version of Windows 7 HP (when I get my copy) on the following set-up?

* Asus A8N-VM motherboard
* 2 GB Geil PC3200 DDR400 Dual Channel (4 x 512mb)
* AMD Athlon 64 4000+ (2.41 GHz) socket 939
* BFG GTX 260 OCX
* Corsair TX 750w PSU
* Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB
* Windows XP Home Edition SP3 (32bit)
* Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-E (x1)

I've been looking for a compatible 4gb set of ram for my board (which is the max my board can take) but I'm not having much luck…and even if I did find some I’m guessing it would be quite pricey now(?)
So, I was also wondering if it would just be a better idea to install the 32bit for now, and then just upgrade my board, cpu, and ram and then install the 64bit when I have some cash to spare?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to giving Windows 7 a try as I've only ever used XP :)

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't go with 32 bit just because you don't have loads of RAM. 64 bit was a no brainer on my main PC which only has 2GB - if your CPU supports it and you have no obscure hardware without 64 bit drivers that you rely on then 64 bit all the way.
