Hi everyone after realizing that my 8gb of ram is not even being utilized due to 32bit being installed i have decided to install windows 64bit.

First problem today is i can find my external hard drive so i am having to use DVD discs to back up my music, photos and films :(

Next problem i have is downloading the drivers, i am at this site just now

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=N53SV

but i don't want to download all the drivers if they are not needed (bloatware), plus there doesn't seem to be a way of downloading all.

I am looking for help on the best process to donwload the drivers for my laptop, it is a ASUS N53SV.

All comments appreciated

Let Windows 7 take care of the driver situation. If something is missing after the installation, you can grab the individual driver from the ASUS site.

I would just download the network adapter drivers, although its more than likely win7 will install these automatically.

You will probably need the webcam and card reader drivers from Asus. Not sure about Blutooth.

Take your pick from the utilities section depending on if you use feature. Like ExpressGate to boot into a basic operating system instead of Windows. Power4 gear so get screen icons when change power scheme, etc.

For graphics, audio, chipset I would get them straight from Nvidia, Intel, Realtek instead of versions listed at Asus, e.g.
Intel RST
Nvidia 540M GT or Intel graphics
