I'm trying to move a file from an ISO file which is mounted to a virtual CD-Rom device.

Everything on the Cd-rom is moveable except 2 files, which won't move at all - causing me quite big problems.

I have a screenshot of the error and also the sharing properties assosicated with the Cd-Rom.

As you can see, the permissions seem to be ok, but i get the error message everytime.

Anyone got any ideas? would be most greatful.

Edit: Forgot to mention, i've tried running the program as administrator by right clicking on it. I've also tried making a new admin user account - nothing works.

To save some people some time - i've tried getting 'ownership' of the file/folders etc but do not have that option available when i right click on the files

Am all out of ideas :(

some process probably has hold of them, reboot in safe mode and try? or try killing any process off that might be accessing them..

Have you reduced your user account control settings? Win 7 stops 'users' from accessing anything it thinks is a system file. If you go to the user settings in the control panel and select System and Security then reduce the setting there. Don't forget to put it back to a higher level afterwards.

Andi.

Thanks guys will have a go at both when i get home.

If i boot in safe mode will i still be able to use a Virtual Cd-Rom device though?

Any other opinions welcome as the more i have to try when i get home the better.

Thanks again
