Anyone else getting this? Very strange. It just sort of stutters for a split second then continues. It's barely noticable but, having got used to silky smooth Vista, I notice it :p

The hardware is all brand new and very good spec. Nvidia drivers all installed. Only thing missing are the Intel Chipset drivers because they, surprisingly, haven't released them for the P45 chipset yet

Yep, it was the first thing I noticed when I installed W7 (specs below) after coming from silky-smooth Vista. Maybe it's just a quirk of W7?

Can't say I've ever experienced it, both you guys are nVidia (i'm ATi), maybe it's a driver thing? Hopefully some other folks will be able to chime in with their experiences.

What happens if you change the nVidia drivers from adaptive to performance power management? It's got me wondering if it's running in a more aggressive power saving 2d mode than WinVista?

I'm on an nVidia card and not seeing this BTW.

I've disabled window fading. So my windows just pop straight down instantly.

It was perfectly smooth before I disabled it though.

It's a very small and very slight 'stutter' when fading in/out, and also minimising windows. It doesn't do it all the time, and it's very subtle, but it's quite annoying :(
