Tried the search function but could not find anything that suggested a solution to my problem, then again, knowing me I probably did it wrong!

I just installed Windows 7 on dual boot and even though it says in my device manager that my ASUS Xonar D2 Audio device is ok and that its working properly I don't have any sound, tried updating the drivers and its saying that "Windows has determined the driver software for my device is up to date."

Does anyone that is trying out Windows 7 also have the same sound card as me? Would appreciate any and all suggestions to sort this out, since I sure would love to have some sound! :p

I have the same sound card and couldn't get it to work either :(
I'm back with Vista now - can't live without audio :p I'll wait till theres a fix

OK, this is a bit embarrassing but I have sorted it now.. :o All I had to do was to go to ASUS website and download the BETA drivers for Vista 32 Bit [Linky If anyone wants it] and then go into Device manager again, then click on the ASUS Xonar D2 Aduio Device and choose Update Driver Software, choose manually and then point it at the location of where I unzipped the ASUS D2 software, I did make sure that the Setup was in Compatibility mode for Windows Vista first though, not sure if it made any difference or not but at least its all working now!

Edit: Forgot to say that you get a pop up from Windows saying that it don't recognize the software and asking if you want to cancel or install it anyway [or something along those lines], I chose install anyway of course!

Hm, I had no problem getting sound from my D2. That said, Xonar Audio Center doesn't exactly work too well. Changing DSP mode or switching between Speakers / Headphones seems to have zero effect. Also SVN isn't working either.

With Asus' track record on Xonar drivers, I'd imagine Windows 7 will be on Service Pack 2 by the time a working driver/audio center are out :(

Damn! Didn't realise there were beta drivers out :p
I did use the same method as you though to install the drivers but they didn't work :( For some reason didn't register as the D2 was connected =\

Good job though :)
