Hi
Have installed windows 7 on a friends computer and as the same as Vista, windows 7 has found 99.9 of all the devices in the device manager.
Question is do you still have to install all drivers like the motherboard chipset drivers, lan drivers, and sound drivers even thou Windows 7 has found all these devices and are working well to my knowledge.
After a fresh install of windows 7 do you then use the motherboard driver CD and just click install everything.
What is the best way going about this please

System:
"Titan Xenomorph" Intel Core i3 530 2.93GHz @ 4.00GHz Dual Core DDR3 4gig

Personally,i just use the drivers win 7 finds,or go to the manufacturers website for certain hardware(ie graphics driver).
I dont tend to use the supplied drivers if i can help it,as they are usually out of date.

If the computer is working to your satisfaction then there is nothing wrong with leaving the default drivers in place.

If you need up-to-date drivers for your graphics card for example, or drivers specific to a particular device you have then that's the time to start looking beyond the defaults.

In either case, I'd use the motherboard CD as a coaster while I went direct to the manufacturers website.
