Does anyone else get an issue on windows 7 where you can be playing a game then all of a sudden you get a freeze with looping audio that sorts itself out about 15 seconds or so later? This happens me quite a bit in TF2 and seems almost exclusive to it, almost like a disc is accessing or a scan of some description is being run in the background.

Been free of this issue for ages but lately it seems to have started again for whatever reason.

many routers + valve games have issues with lag once in a while there are fixes for various routers google them.

then there is also windows 7/vistas + wireless net work + many games (especially valve) = lag when windows searches for net works once in a while again there are fixes and can be found on steam forums, or ask steve.

no but ive noticed windows 7 doesnt like a game beeing minimised for more than a few minutes or the game window refuses to load back up :@

I've played a load of games in Windows 7, and haven't seen those problems. I don't play online games though, and in any case my pc has a wired connection to the router.

Also, for the last problem, I often alt+tab out of them and back with no ill effects.

The only problem I've ever had is with demanding games causing that popup asking if you want to switch off aero. Once I disable desktop composition in the compatibility tab of the game's exe, I don't see that any more.
