Hello folks, I'm looking to finaly replace my geriatric desktop and at the same time move up to Windows 7.
However, I'm a little concerned that my software won't work on the new system. Does anyone know if the following programs are compatible with Windows 7?

Dreamweaver MX
Microsoft Office 2003
Gimp (photo editing program)

Many thanks for any help.

Smiler.

Gimp defiantly, no reason Office 2003 or Dreamweaver wouldn't afaik

Edit; I know Office 2003 works on Vista, so I think it'd be safe to assume it's good to go on 7

They will run fine, however software the does not, Windows XP mode is available, however not always ideal for running all software i guess.

Office 2003 may require you to copy the discs contents to the HDD then run it from there. No idea why this is needed on Windows 7 [and not in all cases either].

Though now is the time for you to upgrade Office too, tbh! :p

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the XP mode is only available in the top of the range version of Windows 7, not the bog standard oem version.

Upgrading office will have to wait due to lack of funds I'm afraid.

All good stuff. Looks like I'll be fine then.

Thanks very much for all the replies, I shall upgrade with confidence.
