When I download a ZIP or EXE from the Internet through any web browser it will be corrupted.
If I download through Usenet with a Newsreader I have no problems.
When I need to download a file that I can't get from Newsgroups eg a new Samsung Galaxy ROM I want, then I have to boot into XP to do it.
I have done 3 different Win 7 installs and all 3 have had the same problem.

Any idea what's going on here?

If your PC has more than one NIC, try using another one. You could try reinstalling/updating the Ethernet drivers too.

Sorry for the bump but somebody might know what's going on before I put XP back on.
Perhaps some kind of download manager that bypasses the browser may do?

I've used "GoZilla" before.
When you download via the browser do you "Open" the link or "Save target as"?

Both in all browsers multiple times.
As soon as I boot into XP I have no problems.

eg Last week I wanted updated Win 7 drivers for my graphic card so I downloaded the file at least 10 times in 3 browsers and all were corrupt.
I boot into XP and the first download is successful.
If I was to find the file on Usenet it would be successful.

It's a really strange one.

What router/modem/network are you on/using?

I have been on a Linksys but a couple of months ago I had a VM Superhub.
I've had the problem on both in Win 7.

Silly question but have you tried saving to different directories or a diffferent drive?

I've tried that with no luck but once again in XP it is OK.

This is a Win 7 + browser problem.
