Windows 7, ATI drivers

From what I have read the preview drivers from ATI for W7 has the display managers 'display properties' functions disabled, where you alter each displays resolution and refresh rate independent of each other. Could anyone please confirm if that is the case.?
I need to have the use of that for the extended desktop on my TV.
 
I had the ATI driver problem with the installation process, i fixed it by doing a system restore to the earliest point, do not attempt to install the drivers through windows update. Install the drivers whilst nothing else is running or installing as this also caused errors. If you do that it should install fine.

Im loving the OS, but has anyone else noticed when you exit a fullscreen app catalyst settings or profiles are restored to default settings.
