Hi Guys,

Long story but I had to reinstall windows 7 over my laptop hard drive as it wasn't booting properly. I had to plug in the hard drive into my desktop, because my laptop disk drive doesn't work, and install it from there. I put the hdd into my laptop and when I boot up for some reason my computer still sees my old user account and logs me in - even though I made a new user account when reinstalling windows 7. Why is this happening (my old user account was corrupted and so doesn't log in properly) ????

You can't install Windows on one computer and then put the hard drive into a different one. It will cause all kinds of corruption, as Windows installs drivers specific to the motherboard and other components that the hard drive is connected to, BIOS too.

Plug the hard drive back into your laptop and install Windows from a USB drive if the disk drive is broken.
