Windows 7 Chipset?

Hello guys.

How can I find put what my chipset driver is? I've downloaded the package from my motherboards website but I don't really want to risk the install as it's for Windows Vista only.

I tried running the Intel Chipset ID tool but it doesn't seem to work on Windows 7.

Any information is appreciated.

Forgot to mention, fresh install.

It's a series 4 chipset but I can't find the windows 7 package for series 4.

Unless it's bleeding edge (eg P55) then the drivers are likely built into Windows 7.

i had few issues with HDD untill i installed win7 RC1 chipset drivers from intel

Vista drivers might work fine, and Windows 7 does have the ability to block drivers that are known to be incompatible. On the off chance it goes belly up safe mode and system restore should bail you out.
