Hi,

I'm having a wierd problem with Windows 7 64bit RC2, (biuld 7100).

I've installed it and been using it fine. Booted it up one morning and the pc blue screened on bootup. The only think different was I had left my mp3 player plugged into a front usb port. It crashed on boot up everytime I tried it until I removed the mp3 player.... very odd.

I plugged in my usb/card reader hub connection for my dell monitor, and my xbox360 hddvd drive. USB camera plugged into the monitor usb hub. All works fine in XP.... but I get a crash with windows on startup with a "7E" error. I had to unplug all the usb devices (tried one at a time) before it would boot up properly again.

If I plug the USB devices in when windows has started up it detects them and they are available.

Anybody else have this problem with windows 7?

Nevermind - I sorted it by loading windows, plugging in the usb devices and letting it detect updated drivers via windows update. Loaded up fine on the next boot up.

Looks like a strange boot up bug if new usb devices are installed before loading windows.
