windows 7 disc problem

i have lost my windows 7 disk moving house , i still have my activation code and a freind is going to lend me his disc .

thing is his disc has service pack 1 and mine did not , will i be able to use it with my code or do i need one without service pack 1 , both are 64bit versions

If you look at this Microsoft link it looks like you can't use an activation code for WIN 7 Sp1 with WIN 7 disc. :(

Your using it the other way round, I hope it works out. :)

I have installed WIN Vista 32-Bit using a Vista 64-Bit activation code. Only found this out after I bought a 64-Bit disc and decided I wanted 32-Bit instead. Not sure if this is the same for WIN 7.
