Can Windows 7 (the installer or the OS) create an extended hard drive partition in which to hold a number of logical drives?

I've installed a couple of new HDDs as RAID-0 on an Abit IP35 Pro and am trying to 'evaluate' Win7 after a few years using WinXP and many years in Win2k before that. When I originally moved to WinXP I was in a similar situation with new HDDs and I am pretty sure that I used the installer to create a Primary partition for the OS/Apps and take up the remaining disk space with an Extended partition containing a number of logical drives for the pagefile, games, music/movies and program installers. Six drives in all.

I know many will manage their system otherwise, but having become comfortable with this I would like to reproduce it on the new drives for Win7. However, as far as I can see, neither the installer or the built-in Disk Manager can handle extended partitions.

Could someone correct me if it is possible with the existing Win7 utilities or suggest a means to get it done?

Thanks and Merry Christmas! :)

NVM, done.

When presented with the initial graphical Win7 install screen there's an option to "Repair your computer". From this you can get a command prompt and make use of the built-in diskpart utility.
