Windows 7 Drivers

Going to be using Windows 7 when the RC comes tomorrow.

For those already using it, are you downloading manufacturers drivers from their sites or do you leave it for Win 7?

I'm thinking along the lines of the Intel x48 chipset drivers, which I've always installed after a fresh install of Windows.

Windows 7 will probably already have the x48 chipset drivers, so no need to download or install them.

generally all vista drivers work fine for windows 7.

use this for intel chipset installation.

I installed my mobo manufactures Vista drivers. Working like a charm..

Needed to run the driver install program running the Version compatability checker in Vista mode, but apart from that it was seamless.

Even my obscure USB TV-Tuner works!

My Samsung CLX 2160N does not work properly with Win 7. I installed the x64 Vista drivers in Vista SP2 compatability mode and was able to print of a Samsung test page but I cannot print from any programme in Windows.
Any advice welcome

There are a couple of hacks to get around it though. Some report they work, some don't.

read on neowin today that it does work now.

i don't play any games that need it, so can't test..
