I have a 24" monitor connected via DVI and my Onkyo amp with 42" TV connected via HDMI.

I have my monitor set to the main display and it set to stretch my desktop across the other screen. The other tv and amp aren't always on but when I do switch them on my desktop icons tend to jump to the other screen, also things I had minimised (folders, browsers, itunes etc) tend to start maximizing to the TV screen.

Any way to stop this from happening?

I can't duplicate the screens as my monitor is 1920 x 1200 and the TV is 1080.

Any help would be great, thanks.

No it wants them to use the same res.

Also in the windows resolution settings it shows the amp and TV as screen 1 and the monitor as 2, could this be the problem?

Yep, this is the problem. If you select the monitor as screen 1 by selecting 'Make this my main display' or words to that effect on different versions of windows.

It's set as the main display just numbered as 2.

Could be it because I have my monitor set to the right? The TV is on the opposite side of the room, I just find it easier to drag video's over this way.
