Windows 7 fan control

When I had vista 32bit installed my fan used to run quieter than it does now, but it also used to spin up when the temperature started to ramp up.

Now with 7 pro 6 bit it just seems to sit at a constant speed all the time.
It does speed up when I first bring the pc out of standby and then spns back down again though so I know that something CAN control it.

Any ideas what I can do to get the fan to speed up when the CPU gets hotter ?

Options in Bios allow you to add/take away a percentage of fan speed, Well mine does anyway.

Should be within the bios.
I have never seen or heard of cpu fan control from windows.

It'll be via an app like SpeedFan or one provided by the motherboard manufacturer. It has nothing to do with Windows itself though.

I did have a quick look through the bios and found something in there after posting this.
Weird how it happened when I changed from vista to 7 though.
I dont remember changing any bios settings at the same time.

oh well its sorted now.
