Okay, contemplating which to get. Buy vista, or use Windows 7 RC and use the money saved from buying vista for a 30GB vertex? It's pretty obvious which will be faster, but I'm wondering if there are any reasons I should hold off, or problems with this? I do plan on gaming, and I've heard of some problems with some games. I found a couple of lists of compatible games, but both were outdated. Do most games at least work, even if performance isn't great?

Has anyone had any major problems or incompatibilites with W7? Thanks. :D

Can't comment on games other than I believe there may be the odd probs but in every other way this present latest build is better than the finished XP and Vista offerings. Unless one was loaded down with wonga which was burning a hole in ones pants - then check out Windows 7 RC 7100 which became available this morning early. It does not run out till Feb 2010 a great opportunity to taste it and see.
Doubtless someone will be along and give you the SP on the games aspects

It's rather a nippy little thing. My HDD is not nearly chugging as much as Vista did.

Punkbuster doesn't support W7, the only reason I'm not using it. :(

Stupid EvenBalance really need to sort it out, there is no reason for them not to support it.
