Hey guys,

This issue has come out of the blue. Not used my pc for a few days and now when ever I start windows it locks up after 3 min.

I am able to run safe mode fine which is a start.

The event log is showing the following

Volmgr 45
Volmgr 46
nvstreamsvc cannot be found

I have tried reinstalling all drivers and moving the page file to the windows partition.

Any ideas would be great.

Have you disabled all non essential services and run msconfig and disabled everything in there while in safe mode? If not that might be worth a try.
Also while in safe mode it might be worth giving malwarebytes and an up do date AV scan a go.

Ok here's an update.

Disabled all services that I don't need
Installed and ran malware bytes
Ran chkdisk on all HDDs
Uninstalled all sound and video drivers

went to do a fresh install of windows on a spare drive and get the following when booting from cd.

When I finally got into setup after constantly trying says I cant install to the hdd and also won't enable me to format it or anything.
