Hi Guys,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I received the below bundle today which is up and running now however I'm having an issue with windows freezing? The screen doesn't go blue or show any error, it simply stays the same and freezes totally. The set-up I have is:-

Titan 8250a Sidewinder" AMD Piledriver FX-6 6300 3.50GHz @ 4.00GHz Six Core System

AMD Piledriver 6300 @ 3.50GHz, AMD 990FX Chipset, 8GB DDR3 1600MHz, 1TB HDD, Corsair GS 600w PSU, ATI HD 7770, 24x DVD-RW, HD 7.1 Audio

Asus HD 7770 GHz TOP 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Intel 330 Series 60GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive

Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to PC's so hope I've not missed anything glaringly obvious!

I rang OC and they told me to turn off their overclocking which I did but it seems to have not made any difference.

Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

I would run memtest to check the RAM is ok but since it's a new system it should be delivered in working order. It appears this isn't the case, so it isn't really up to you to spend hours troubleshooting.

Have you tried underclocking your graphics card? pre-overclocked cards have a long history of being problematic, they don't seem to go through much testing.

You should be able to do it in Catalyst Control Centre in the AMD Overdrive section, knock the core back to 1000mhz or so which I think is the 'reference' speed which is what AMD certify the GPU to run at.
