OK, so yesterday was the big day and W7 went officially on sale.

Didn't really want to, but I just grabbed the opportunity of getting rid of freckin' Vista, and now I've tested it a bit (64-bit), I'm glad I did. W7 is a GREAT improvement. Up until now it's the best Windows since XP, although I haven't seen too much of it yet. Runs sweeeet.

So, is there a list of games that don't run on W7 around?

duno if i should upgrade from vista, i dont have any problems with vista and dont mind how much mem it takes up.

I am quite hungover so maybe....

I'm sure you can figure out what I mant.

XP mode is only available on Business Edition and above since it is oriented at market sectors where they are using leagcy software that failed under vista (and thus halted any upgrade plans) it is not designed with any game support in mind at all (It is only really a version of Microsoft VirtualPC with an activated copy of Windows XP SP3 included as a virtual machine).

Windows Virtual PC won't run software that requires 3d acceleration but older 2d games work fine (Command and Conquer, Worms as examples).
You can set up a virtual machine using VirtualBox if you have a spare XP license and require 3d acceleration support.

I've found it a lot better at dealing with older games than Vista was just using the compatibility modes anyway. KOTOR 2 worked first time, which was a huge surprise.

tbh if you want xp and win7 just dual boot it .....install your xp first then win7 .....after you have split the hard drive thou ....simples
